We are now through weekend #4 of college cross country with several alumni competing.  In addition to freshmen Marco Godinez and Matt Garvin, several alumni have competed including Sean Gildea, Andrew Snyder, and Kevin Joerger.  Unfortunately, several others are sidelined with various injuries including Allie Lopez, Evan Hillman, and DJ Smithers. We hope to see them back in action before season's end.
I'm a little behind on the alumni race updates, but I will try to bring you the highlights.

UC Irvine Invite - 9/10

Andrew Snyder was the lone TOXC alumni competing at the UC Irvine invitational, completing the 8k course in 26:29. (Results)

UC Riverside Invite - 9/17

Several alumni (and their parents) took on a marathon day and competed at the (early morning) UC Riverside Invitational on the 17th prior to the (late night) Woodbridge Invitational for TOXC.  Kevin Joerger opened his season with his LMU teaming covering 8K in 25:06, supporting a school team time average of 24:38!  Marco Godinez lead his Whittier squad in 25:43, and Matt Garvin turned in another solid performance at 27:15 (Results A, Results B)

Stanford Invitational - 9/23

Andrew Snyder and Kevin Joerger competed for their UCI and LMU squads, respectively, at the big meet up north.  Andrew clocked a 25:51 for 80th place in the college 8k, while a sick Kevin ran 26:39.(Results)

News from Colorado

Sean Gildea seems to be having another great season at the Colorado School of mines, turning in big back to back performances.  Sean opened his season at the Rust Buster Invite on September 10th, with a solid 2nd place finish (18:45 6k) (Results).  Then on Saturday the 23rd, Sean won the Erik Anderson Invitational in Spokane, Washington, in a scorching 24:03 for 8k!  (Story and Results)

I will provide another update in a couple weeks!
